Hip Replacement Surgery
Dr Nassar performs total hip replacement surgery using the direct anterior approach as well as other modern techniques, selecting the method that best suits each patient’s anatomy and lifestyle. He also uses advanced planning and technologies, including patient specific instrumentation, to support accurate implant placement and long-term joint function.
Where appropriate, Dr Nassar adopts muscle sparing approaches that may allow for earlier mobilisation and smoother recovery, with the overall focus on restoring mobility and joint stability.
Hip Resurfacing Surgery
Hip resurfacing surgery may be an option for younger and more active patients. Rather than replacing the entire hip joint, this technique reshapes the femoral head and caps it with a smooth surface, while also resurfacing the socket.
By preserving more natural bone, hip resurfacing can offer stability, durability, and the potential for a more natural range of movement, making it a suitable choice for patients who wish to maintain higher activity levels.
Knee Replacement Surgery
Dr Nassar performs total and partial knee replacement surgery, tailoring the approach to each patient’s anatomy and needs. He uses robotic-assisted and patient-specific planning to support accurate implant placement and long-term function.
Where appropriate, minimally invasive techniques and modern alignment methods are applied, aiming to improve comfort, mobility, and recovery. Dr Nassar also manages complex revision knee replacement for patients with issues such as implant wear or instability.
Partial Knee Replacement Surgery
Dr Nassar performs partial knee replacement surgery for patients where arthritis is limited to a single part of the knee. This approach preserves more of the natural joint and can provide improved comfort, mobility, and a quicker recovery compared to a full replacement.
Using advanced planning tools and minimally invasive techniques where appropriate, he aims to achieve accurate implant placement and long-term joint function, supporting patients to return to their everyday activities with confidence.
Trauma Surgery
Dr Nassar has extensive experience in managing complex orthopaedic trauma, including fractures, joint injuries, and periprosthetic complications. He provides timely assessment and treatment for both straightforward and complicated injuries, with the goal of restoring function and reducing long-term complications.
His trauma practice includes the management of fractures around existing joint replacements, high-energy injuries, and cases requiring advanced fixation or reconstruction techniques. Where possible, Dr Nassar uses minimally invasive and joint-preserving methods, supported by a multidisciplinary team approach to rehabilitation. Patients benefit from coordinated care that focuses not only on surgical repair, but also on recovery, mobility, and return to daily activities.
